Obama's Flickr

When you get a chance check out the Official White House flickr account...they have some pretty cool shots of Obama and his admin since day one (1/20/09). A great way to commemorate his first 100 days in office. below are a few of my favorites....

The Obama-mobile

Not sure if this is legit but this is one serious Cadillac!

And I thought my Grandpa's Caddy was loaded...

Photobucket

Just a few thoughts on this Obama transformer...

-This car probably weighs as much as a herd of elephants...

-Who needs 20" rims when you have Kevlar-reinforced tires with steel rims underneath?!?

-"Defense" accessories include: Night vision cameras, pump-action shotguns, tear gas cannons.

-Although it only gets 8 miles to the gallon(?!?), the petrol tank can withstand a direct hit thanks to a special foam and armor-plating.

-8mpg and a top speed of 60mph. Better hope the driver only has to escape go-carts and only has to go 10 miles.

-The driver's window opens so he can pay a toll? What, they don't have EZ-Pass on this thing yet?

-And to top it off...It comes with bottles of blood compatible with the President's blood...just in case..

Out of touch?!?

Below is the $3 million "projector" that McCain mentioned in the last debate...and just in case you missed it...McCain said "$3 million for an overhead projector at a planetarium in Chicago, Ill. My friends, do we need to spend that kind of money?"

The real story behind John McCain's debate attack on Barack Obama's vote to fund a projector, turns out not to be a projector at all - but a a full dome projection system. Thats like calling a space shuttle a glider...

McCain once again shows how out of touch he is and how he has no understanding of science or technology...

Internet down, Cable up!

I know I said I was going to put up pics from my Las Vegas extravaganza...my fault my internet is down right...f*cking Comcast!!! They will be up soon...

But my cable is up so I'll be watching the presidential debates tonight!!!! Should be pretty good....although McCain is the "underdog", I've seen him in debates before and he is pretty on point...he may not win any merits for motivational speaking but dude knows his stuff...

But I have confidence in my homeboy, Barack...dude knows his stuff as well...and since the focus of this debate will be shifted towards economics (I think/hope), it'll be interesting to see how and what direction each candidate will go.

Since Obama is more in touch and in tuned w/ ppl and economics, he will do great and I believe he will go up 1 over McCain.

***Side note: I heard McCain sat quietly in yesterdays meeting at the White House...Who "suspends" their campaign and ask to reschedule a debate so they can return to Washington and sit in a room...quietly?!? What an idiot!!!!

The Polls...

CNN, MSNBC, and other sources are claiming that the Presidental polls are even once again...

My question is "Who the f*ck are they asking to do these surveys?" They're not asking anyone I know...

CNN, MSNBC, etc, claim the "bounce" is due to McCain' VP and running mate, Sarah Palin...really??? hmm...

To McCain-Palin and their supporters worldwide, I watched the RNC and I'm not impressed...

Niki, your latest post summarize my sentiments as well.

Bonnie Gene....and barack's progress d.i.y. posters

yeah it's clear who i am rootin' for...i've mentioned or left hints in previous post...

i was at work today...doing the usually, providing tech. support and saving one computer every 16 and 1/2 mins (according to my boss, this is the supposed time it is suppose to take us to solve/fix a computer). so i was on the phone with a 68 yr old lady named Bonnie Gene Wilson from Vancouver, British Columbia (Canada). Surprisingly (not really) it was her first time using a computer and she needed help installing windows vista on her computer...by the way this is out the scope of my job description...but i felt sorry for her b/c she was completely lost and i wanted to help her.

so after i painstakingly walked her through the set up and while vista is loading, we started talking about the upcoming presidential election. it was interesting to here her views on America, the election and it candidates. so to summarize her comments:

Hillary (Billary) = doesn't like besides she said the Clinton's (bill) had their turn, so...
Barack = although she doesn't know much about him she likes (especially his wife, Michelle) and McCain = doesn't trust, dislikes the most....actually, i take that back, she hates bush the most...lol...

so just outta curiosity i asked her who Canada's Prime Minister was...and she couldn't tell me. it was kinda funny that she knew more about and paid more attention to american politics than her own country's. there is nothing wrong with that i guess...but it makes you wonder...and she goes on to say that the rest of Canada feels the same...tired/hate bush and want change.

even though she lives in another country, she is still concerned as much as we are about changing the current mentality/mindset, politics, and well-being of the ppl and the good ol' u.s. of a.

after we got done talking about politics and vista was done loading, she suckered me in w/ her "helpless old lady voice" helping her play a peom cd that she had...she wanted to here this one particular poem from Alice in Wonderland called "The Mouse's tale "...

interesting call huh?

oh yeah click here for the link to the 8.5″ x 11″ barack's progress d.i.y. poster created by artist Shepard Fairey. color it, use it as a stencil for a shirt, post it everywhere, etc...

man the young Senator is really picking up momentum, having won the Mississippi primary yesterday evening...big up's to Mississippi!

A New Hope.

Right in time for next week’s Democratic presidential primaries in Ohio and Texas, which could shut up Billary for good, here’s some more Barack-art. Behold the work of The Mac. The henna-like styled posters are already en route to the two potential Clinton-killing states and the limited edition silk screened/signed versions will be available shortly via Upper Playground.

Yes we can...

According to will.i.am, founding member and frontman of Black Eyed Peas, the "Yes We Can Song" was inspired by Senator Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign and especially the speech Obama gave following the New Hampshire primary. He states, "It made me reflect on the freedoms I have, going to school where I went to school, and the people that came before Obama like Martin Luther King, presidents like Abraham Lincoln that paved the way for me. . . ." Dylan says, "The speech was inspiring about making change in America and I believe what it says and I hope everybody votes."

The music video includes excerpts from Obama's speech and appearances from several celebrities: Scarlett Johansson, John Legend, Herbie Hancock, Kate Walsh, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Adam Rodriquez, Kelly Hu, Adam Rodriquez, Amber Valetta, and Nick Cannon. "I'm blown away by how many people wanted to come and be a part of it in a short amount of time. It was all out of love and hope for change and really representing America and looking at the world," will.i.am said.
