1979
My feeling during and towards my high school years wrapped up into one song.
This video, especially, reminds me of the last summer before college...hanging with my friends (for the last time) and also the feeling of our newly discovered independence from the limits of being a teenager, being in high school and dealing w/ all its b.s., prom, senior superlatives, cheerleaders, jocks, geometry, curfews...and although we didn't have it all figured out...for once we felt alive...

The Rock-afire Explosion
I remember the first time seeing this "band" perform live at Showbiz Pizza Place. Those memories aren't the most pleasent memories from my childhood...instead I remember the shock, horror and confusion. At 8 yrs old, I remember saying "WTF?!? Not cool..." and while all the other kids watched the show (whether in amazement or horror) I was here.
This trailer of the soon to be released documentary on The Rock-afire Explosion band, brought back those dreadful memories...
Niki, it's probably a good that you do NOT watch this following vid...everyone else enjoy (j/k)!
Who in the heLL thought this was a cute idea for kids?

Air....Piano???

Omer Yosha has created a pretty cool instrument. The Air Piano is an electronic piano of sorts that lets you play notes without touching any keys. It uses infrared technology to detect movement and plays a music note based on where the movement came from. If you leave your hand hovering over a spot the Air Piano will sustain the note. It also appears that you can change octaves by raising or lowering your hand over one of the sensors. It seems that infrared technology has come a long way from the days of the Sega Activator.

One of Al Pacino's best...Serpico

and

I swear, Leonardo Dicaprio acting was so good in this movie...i thought he was really mentally handicap'd! I mean look at him in the video cover above, definitely the look of a "window licker". oh yeah J. Depp did a good job as usual...as well as the lady who play'd his mom...
