Just as I Am...
Clip of Bill Withers performing one of his many classics. This performance is from Zaire 74 music festival which accompanied the Rumble in the Jungle heavyweight boxing championship match between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman in October 1974.
This clip and others can be seen in the music documentary: Soul Power. If you haven't seen this movie then you need to check it out asap!
His performance of this song at Carnegie Hall is my favorite live version...click HERE to listen

I think everyone has a movie that they love so much, it actually becomes stressful to watch it with other people. You'll end up wasting 90 minutes shiftily glancing around to confirm that everyone's laughing at the right parts, then making sure you laugh just a little harder (and a millisecond earlier) to prove that you're still the only one who really, really gets it...

Alive in Jo'burg / Subscribe to J.T.'s blog
District 9 is coming out tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to seeing it! I probably shouldn't have but I've read a lot of articles (reviews, background info) on this movie and I hope I didn't spoil it...
The movie is based on Director Neill Blomkamp short film called Alive in Jo'Burg. Peep the vid below...
Speaking of movies, my friend/brother/comrade, J.T., just set up a blog talking about any/everything related to movies. Although its in the beginning stages, but knowing J.T. he will keep you entertained and keep you thinking w/ post to come. So check out/comment/subscribe/follow my brother from another mother's blog out HERE

When is this movie coming out!?
One of the best vids that I've seen on the net...Fan Made Thundercats trailer...
no this isn't a real movie but I wish it was. I'm sure you recognized some of the scenes from other movies such as 10,000BC, Masters of the Universe, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Chronicles of Riddick, Pitch Black, Troy, Star Trek6: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, Garfield, Enemy Mine, The Mummy, Planet of the Apes, Aliens, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome...

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
A little more than a year ago, i had this movie on repeat, day and night.
How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd;

Where the Wild Things Are
Another movie that I'm looking forward to is Spike Jonze' Where Are The Wild Things.
Although I wasn't going nuts like the rest of the kids in kindergarden, I still enjoyed the story...the parts that I can remember...
Whether this movie translates well and appeals to adult and kids alike...one thing for sure is w/ the poster below and others it looks promising...

Auction of the century.
I'm sure you heard of the upcoming Michael Jackson Auction on April 24th and the rumored 200+ things being auction...i think they underestimated a little...b/c The auction company, Julien's, just released the auction catalog and its 240+ pgs worth of stuff...below are a few pics from this catalog...

His arcade collection (50+ pgs) could have rivaled some arcades in japan (10 yrs ago)...
He also had thing for life sized dolls...the Red Power Ranger, Batman, Superman, Spiderman, and Bruce Lee are just a few...
Stuff that is missing from this auction:
