Harpo's Recession Antidote?

People have been sending me text messages and emails about this all day...

So apparently Oprah's buying (COUPON) everyone a 2 piece meal at KFC. Important to note: you can print the coupon up to four times...

a few thoughts:
-Internet, computers, printers, and ink cartridges sell out across the country.
-While the stock for pigs continues to plummet, the stock for chicken goes through the roof.
-At the end of this 2 week special, in order to recover KFC will no longer sell food (chicken), they will only sell drinks the for 2 years.

and this is what KFC will look like for the next two weeks...

"No Chicken?!? Or are they just outta chicken?"

Mac or a PC?

My computer died on me about 2 weeks ago...which is one of the reasons why my posting has slowed down.

So i'm back on the market and looking to "invest" in a new computer that'll last for a while. I'm on the fence between getting a pc or getting a macbook...its been a pretty hard decision b/c there are several factors involved. the biggest factor is $$$.

ironically the new macbooks dropped the day after my computer died...go figure...but w/ a $2000 price tag i had to shift gears and I tricked myself in believing what i repeated to myself that night as i fell asleep "I can go a few days (weeks) w/out a computer."

man i was wrong that worked until i woke up the next morning. these last 2 weeks have been horrible and painful...i didn't realize how dependent i was on my computer: paying bills, talking to niki, blogging, shopping...

Mac or a PC? each has their pros and cons and i'm still weighing them...

Preview of the Palin vs. Biden Debates???

Sorry I'm a CNN junkie...I had to get my fix last night and came across this vid...

Her beauty pageant answer baffles me everytime and now I'm more confused than ever. In case you missed it rewind the vid to the 3 min mark...wtf?!?

I hope she has been reading and studing the Dictionary, Guinness Book of World Records, and Almanac to prepare for this debate...

As for Biden, if he can keep it to the facts and stray away from saying something crazy...Obama's camp, supporters and ppl worldwide can claim another victory.

One last thing, if she has her hair down or is sporting some new glasses or has an antenna coming out of her back pocket then she is wearing an earpiece (cheating!)...I called it, you heard it here first...

watch, learn, and listen.

OBAMA.

Swift kick to the nuts...

I saw a guy on the Marta this morning that looked like this guy. When I saw him I immediately thought of this picture and I also realized how fortunate I am...

While at work I began going through my google reader stuff and came across this bedset:

click here for more info on this bedset.

It might be just me...but I feel some type of way about this $140+ bedset and although I respect the artistic side of it...I still feel like its a swift kick to the nuts...Again it might be just me...

The Polls...

CNN, MSNBC, and other sources are claiming that the Presidental polls are even once again...

My question is "Who the f*ck are they asking to do these surveys?" They're not asking anyone I know...

CNN, MSNBC, etc, claim the "bounce" is due to McCain' VP and running mate, Sarah Palin...really??? hmm...

To McCain-Palin and their supporters worldwide, I watched the RNC and I'm not impressed...

Niki, your latest post summarize my sentiments as well.

46" LCD = $38.45

I just bought 4 46"lcd from amazon for $550!!!!!!

Someone at Amazon seriously f*ck'd up b/c they marked a 46" Sharp Aquos LCD TV for $38.45...no joke, check the pic.

******UPDATE****************************************************************
Unfortunately, the price is correct now...but my transaction receipt still reads $38.45...
*****************************************
*************************************

I immediately called my credit card company and the reassured me that if the price is incorrect and the company realizes it after you made the order, they that can't charge me more unless they contact me 1st and if I agree to the "new/correct" price.

There were other tv's marked down to $40 in various sizes...but they were gone/corrected by the time I found out.

Worst case scenerio: the company cancels my order I get my $$$ back.

So we'll see what happens...I'll probably get a phone call on Monday from Amazon to tell me that they are canceling the order...

Thank you GIZMODO (<- click for article) for the heads up!
