Self Checkout

Back in my college days, I would scan organic fruits and vegetables as non-organic pesticides, insecticides and herbicides filled fruits and vegetables b/c it was cheaper...

Its not that I don't do it now b/c I know that it is unethical but b/c the grocery store that I go to doesn't have self-checkout...

and yes I definitely saved a lot of dinero doing it..

Economy goes down, Lottery goes up...and Chick-Fil-A wins

Everyday during lunch I walk by a PowerBall TV and everyday I get more tempted to test my luck...

Every morning a crowd will gather around that TV, patiently staring to see if their numbers hit...and i've noticed that crowd has been getting bigger and bigger. Kind of like the crowd you would see at a Soup Kitchen...people standing in line knowing they are gonna be served sh!t but thinking maybe just maybe today they [the kitchen] will server grandma's cooking...

although you can't blame us for being optimistic...

You know, how come you never see a headline that reads 'Psychic Wins Lottery?' Hmmm...Is it b/c Psychic's are phony or Lotteries are phony or both???

Photobucket

"We chicken nugget, we dip in the sauce like mop and bucket
Blue-collar scholars, who'll take your dollar and wipe my ass wit it
You livin for the lotto never hit it..."
~Andre 3000

sidenote: speaking of chicken nuggets...yo Chick-Fil-A is expensive as hell now!!!! well actually it always has been expensive but $7.43 for i nicely breaded, specially seasoned, mouth-watering piece of chicken, waffle cut fries (dipped in bbq) and a sweet tea that makes you wanna slap yo mama is f'n ridiculous!!!

Moreover for as much as you pay for their food you would expect Chick-Fil-A to buy stronger straws. The straw shouldn't crack or bend when you try to take it out of the wrapper...point, blank, period.

Now McDonalds straws, the ones w/ the two strips that look like a pair of Ronald McDonald's socks, oh yea them joints don't break/crack...

Chick-Fil-A food is bangin' but i'm just saying...

Mac or a PC?

My computer died on me about 2 weeks ago...which is one of the reasons why my posting has slowed down.

So i'm back on the market and looking to "invest" in a new computer that'll last for a while. I'm on the fence between getting a pc or getting a macbook...its been a pretty hard decision b/c there are several factors involved. the biggest factor is $$$.

ironically the new macbooks dropped the day after my computer died...go figure...but w/ a $2000 price tag i had to shift gears and I tricked myself in believing what i repeated to myself that night as i fell asleep "I can go a few days (weeks) w/out a computer."

man i was wrong that worked until i woke up the next morning. these last 2 weeks have been horrible and painful...i didn't realize how dependent i was on my computer: paying bills, talking to niki, blogging, shopping...

Mac or a PC? each has their pros and cons and i'm still weighing them...

Out of touch?!?

Below is the $3 million "projector" that McCain mentioned in the last debate...and just in case you missed it...McCain said "$3 million for an overhead projector at a planetarium in Chicago, Ill. My friends, do we need to spend that kind of money?"

The real story behind John McCain's debate attack on Barack Obama's vote to fund a projector, turns out not to be a projector at all - but a a full dome projection system. Thats like calling a space shuttle a glider...

McCain once again shows how out of touch he is and how he has no understanding of science or technology...

Thanks Bugs

Just when I thought I was getting outta of the sneaker game...Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny suck me back in...

This weekend will mark another installment to the 23 package series by the Jordan brand.

Personally, I think the Jordan Brand are running out of ideas b/c they release retros every weekend. Besided the "new" Jordan's suck...i mean the XX3's were cool and so were the Spizikes but they were too dayum expensive, around $175 + tax (each)!!!! wtf?!?

Moving on, the shoe within this package that is one of the most highly anticipated Jordan release this year is the "Hare" VII:

The shoes above have been christened "Hare" b/c of Bugs Bunny, who worn them in a Jordan Comercial way back when. Bugs in commercial = ballin' -> gotta be the shoes!

The other shoe being released in this package is the XVI, true to the O.G. colorway with it signature toe cap. I remember when I first saw these...not a big fan of them but you can't buy the Hares w/out buying these...

if i can scrounge up enough $$$ (around $310 + tax), I might consider getting em. Yeah I know what ur thinking (DAYUM!!! $310?!?)...b/c i'm thinking it too, in the end i probably won't get em...

Lobster Chair

Another chair I can't afford!

The Lobster Chair! Designed by Lund & Paarmann for the Verikon Furniture. According to them: “The shell is laminated, bend wood with a walnut veneer at the back. Inside the shell we have used Pantera foam, as it is very durable and probably the least damaging foam regarding our environment. The swivel base is chrome-plated steel. The fabrics and the leather we are using for Lobster are of the very best quality.”

***Side Note: I could go for some seafood right now...mmmm!

The Limited Edition, currently out of stock, book called "les must de Cartier" showcases Cartier's history with 400 pages of images demonstrating the process of Cartier's revitalization of luxury at a time when luxury was seemingly dead.

if you can find/afford one, it'll definitely be a great addition to your other coffee table books.

kicks of the week

keeping it plain and simple.

common projects: desert suede boots

I need this table!

Dylan Gold used the embedded silhouette of the “Stink Tree” otherwise known as “The Tree of Heaven” to design this prestigious walnut coffee table. While this design is stunning enough, you can customize your own table with your personal choice of laminates and extruded graphics.

umm maybe not...

I've been thinking about getting a tattoo for a while now but I haven't. Partly, b/c I can't figure out what I want. I want it to be personal and meaningful but at the same time cool.

For a while I was on the fence on whether or not I should get a tattoo...since tattoos are PERMANENT, I wanted to think it through in all aspects of what, why, and where....I didn't want to rush into things and end up getting a "WTF?" tattoo = "Why The F*ck", if I ended up getting a dumba$$ tattoo, this is what I would be asked constantly by myself and/or others.

I have a few friends that have tattoos...some of them are cool, personal, creative and some of them are the "WTF?" kind. This is probably why I sway back and forth on whether or not I will/should get one.

It is b/c of the following tattoo, that I have almost fallen off of the fence. I'll admit, at first I was like "Wow that's pretty cool..." then I started thinking "What and Why the f*ck?" This is a cool tattoo for now but when you get older...uhm not so much...

what do you think about tattoos?
